The fire detector HOTSPOT is an extension of the ADICOS series and fits in the product range of fire gas detectors. This detector series originates from the mutual development tasks of the University Gießen and the RWE Energie AG in regards to the early detection of fires under difficult circumstances.
The ADICOS HOTSPOT is an IR-Thermometer with an innovative infrared measurement technology combined with an intelligent signal evaluation for the early detection of all types of fires in the beginning phase. The integrated IR sensor has 16 (4 x 4) measuring sections. This technology makes it possible to evaluate the sensor signal for separately every segment.
Based on the fast reaction time of 0,5 seconds HOTSPOT is suitable for the detection of hot spots on conveyor belts or other conveying systems.
In high buildings the ADICOS HOTSPOT can be integrated as an add-on to the fire gas detectors GSME for example for the monitoring of machine parts or stored materials.
 
Based on the specifi c adaptation of the sensor system and the algorithms the concept of the ADICOS systems also is suitable for the application in difficult environments.

Early warning system for the entire area of storage, preparation and distribution of combustible materials. Monitoring of storage and production halls for paper, wood, coal, grain and cereals, waste, etc.
Monitoring of cargo areas in planes, ships, other transport vehicles. Requires intervisibility!
